With a reputation as a reliable and trustworthy broker, Melvyn’s primary focus is the residential and commercial real estate market, with a focus on Singapore’s East Coast and Core Central regions of Singapore.

Melvyn Xu didn’t start in the real estate industry initially. He worked as a programmer for about four years after he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science (Information Technology) from RMIT University in 2000.

In 2003, he started to be interested in the investment world of property, stocks and forex. At the recommendation of his friend, he decided to quit his IT career and pursue real estate instead. This interest spanned to 18 years, and with the support of his wife and family, Melvyn has never looked back since.

His referrals and longstanding experience have nudged him more towards the mid- to high-end private residential and commercial markets in Singapore’s prime areas, with some focus on the HDB market as well. With his willingness to embrace new opportunities as they arise, without fear of venturing into uncharted waters in order to stay relevant constantly, this has made him a respected name in the industry.

The root of his motivations and work is the genuine passion and joy in meeting new people and helping them to navigate the challenges that arise in their journey to find the right investment or home for them. From coordinating the schedules and tight timelines for buyers and sellers to pest control and appliances maintenance for clients renting properties, Melvyn is always happy to provide the services the clients need.

The quality of his work is reflected in the long-standing relationships with many of his  clients, several of which span more than fifteen years. His honest and transparent approach to real estate has garnered genuine trust from most of his clients. When you take Melvyn on as your agent, you know that the advice and guidance you receive will be completely unbiased and in your best interest. Not somebody who will run away from a problem,  he is always dedicated to ensure that every problem that arises will have a solution. Melvyn is humbled to have cultivated such trusting, positive relationships with his clients which, in turn, motivates him to work even harder on their behalf. The competitive nature of the agency has pushed him to constantly move and evolve, which is what has inspired him to start 93Property, together with his business partner. Rather than become complacent, Melvyn chooses instead to step out of his comfort zone to bring something fresh and original to the Singapore property market.
